Penny’s Purrfect Café (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you join our waitlist or interact with our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve kept it simple, because right now we collect very little.
What we collect
When you sign up for our waitlist (“Penny’s Inner Circle”), we collect:
- Your email address, which you provide voluntarily through the sign-up form on our website.
- Any other information you choose to give us, such as your name, if you include it in a message to us.
We do not ask for, and you do not need to provide, sensitive personal information to join our waitlist.
How we use your information
We use the email address you provide to:
- Send you updates about Penny’s Purrfect Café as we prepare to open;
- Share behind-the-scenes news, events, and our story;
- Give you early access to our upcoming Kickstarter campaign and founding-member opportunities;
- Respond to you if you contact us directly.
We only send you things we believe are worth your time. We will not flood your inbox.
How your information is stored
We manage our waitlist and send our emails using Brevo, a third-party email marketing service. The email address you provide is stored securely on Brevo’s platform, which acts as our data processor. You can review Brevo’s own privacy practices on their website.
We do not store your information on our own separate databases beyond what is held within Brevo and the standard records of our website.
What we will never do
- We will never sell your email address or personal information to anyone.
- We will never share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
- We only share data with service providers (like Brevo) strictly to operate our waitlist, subscriber updates, and other lists relevant to Penny’s Purrfect Cafe and only to the extent needed to do so.
Your choices and rights
You are always in control of your information. You may at any time:
- Unsubscribe from our emails. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you’re off the list.
- Request access to the information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information from our records.
To make any of these requests, simply email us at pennyscatcafe@gmail.com and we’ll take care of it.
Cookies
Our website may use a small number of basic, essential cookies needed for the site to function properly. We do not currently use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking. If this changes as we build out our full website, we will update this policy.
Children’s privacy
Our website and waitlist are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us at pennyscatcafe@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
As Penny’s Purrfect Café grows, especially once we open and add features like reservations and online ordering, we will update this policy to reflect how we handle information at that time. When we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
